Sprint partners with GetJar, releases over 60,000 free apps

This afternoon Sprint announced a new partnership with GetJar in which it will offer GetJar's library of over 60,000 applications for free. Apps include Facebook, Weather Channel Mobile, YouTube, and more. The app catalog is available for feature phones such as the LG Lotus Elite, Samsung Reclaim, and Sanyo 2700. BlackBerry and Windows Mobile owners will also have access to some apps. A link to GetJar should be available on the Sprint portal on most handsets under the "Downloads" section.
