Novatel Wireless achieves its first LTE 4G data transmission

Today Novatel Wireless said that it completed its first Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G data transmission. "We believe our aggressive development efforts will enable us to deliver these innovative solutions with the fastest time to market," Novatel Wireless' CTO Dr. Slim Souissi said. LTE offers data download rates up to 100Mbps and 50Mbps on the uplink, however Novatel didn't provide information on the data speeds achieved during its testing.
